With only a week left until the release of BTS’s new album, ARIRANGThe enthusiasm among ARMY has reached a fever pitch.
To start the final countdown to their long-awaited comeback, BTS is inviting their fans to Spotify to take on the ‘Decoding ARIRANG’ mission. This in-app Easter egg hunt sends fans across Spotify in search of surprises from the members themselves, including never-before-released audio messages with their personal reflections on the album’s lead single, ‘SWIM.’
Guide to decode ARIRANG
Over the next few days, members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook will each hide a unique snippet in the Spotify app. Each fragment is a virtual key to unlock that member’s secret voicemail. This is how it works:
- Update your Spotify app: Make sure your app is updated to the latest version and you’re signed in to your Spotify Premium account to enjoy the full experience.
- Find member snippets: Each member has chosen a unique hideaway within the spaces where BTS lives on Spotify. ARMY should spare no effort: scroll deeply and interact with everything that appears on the screen. The next fragment could be waiting after each touch.
- Tap to collect: Once you find a fragment, simply tap on it to unlock it and hear the secret voice message.
- Share your findings: Press the “Share” button to share your ARIRANG Decoding progress on social media.
- Review your fragment collection: Open the search bar in your Spotify app and search for “BTS Decoding ARIRANG”. Tap “BTS Decoding ARIRANG” to access your collection of snippets and member voicemails in the app.
- Find the seven fragments: The ultimate ARIRANG Easter egg awaits fans who find all the member’s fragments.
